We have other genera of hairstreak butterflies in the US. This one could belong to Altides.

This looks like a fresh oakblue. Wings are deformed, or freshly forming. Aropala is the genus of most of these.
I thought these were oceanic and not from the new world. Is this wild or in captivity?
