Great Horned Owl

Description:

Owlets had fluffy white feathers with some striped brown markings. Sharp small bill.

Habitat:

These owlets were found in an oak tree within a park. The nest was located where the tree branched off into two larger branches.

Notes:

I was so excited to find these owlets along with one parent roosting close by the nest. It was my first time seeing these owls in nature. It was awesome!
