Description:

En català serp blanca. The ladder snake (Rhinechis scalaris) is a species of snake in the Colubridae family. It is found in peninsular Spain and Minorca, Portugal, southern France and possibly the region of Liguria and Italy. Its natural habitats are temperate forests, temperate shrubland, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, arable land, pastureland, plantations , and rural gardens. It is threatened by habitat loss. They range in adult size from 100 cm up to 160 cm long, and usually eat eggs, insects, little mammals such as mice, etc.
