Description:

A plain looking member of the softshell group of turtles. The front part of the carapace lacks the bumps or spines of the Spiny Softshell Turtle. This turtle is most likely a female, with a carapace length of approximately 12 inches.

Habitat:

Softshell turtles are usually found in the parts of streams and rivers with sandy bottoms.
