Stolas redtenbacheri (Boheman, 1850)
Redtenbacheri:http://www.cassidae.uni.wroc.pl/katalog%...Demissa:http://www.cassidae.uni.wroc.pl/katalog%...Aenea:http://www.cassidae.uni.wroc.pl/katalog%...Imparilis:http://www.cassidae.uni.wroc.pl/katalog%...Just to make the mess complete...Something for Lech, if the ID is not from him anyway (what I guess). Then how trustable are all the other Redtenbacheri from Brazil on the net?? Sergio must had a reason to override my Demissa :-)
Looks like old Spanish helmet!
@DrNamgyalT.Sherpa: I was holding the other tip of the leaf... :-)
That's just OMG, Sergio! And how did you manage such a sharp photo of a subject hanging on a precarious leaf stalk!
Beautiful.
Take this one as well...http://www.biol.uni.wroc.pl/cassidae/kat...
I think your link to 'aenea' highlights a problem. If we don't have both M and F for the all others we are probably stuck.
Cool find, Buddy! How safe is your ID??Personally I would call this one Stola demissa or probably Stola cf. demissa, rather than Stola redtenbacheri. Note the pattern of the whitish marking. What do you think? To make it more complicated there are some more...Please, check again and exactly compare the body shape.http://www.biol.uni.wroc.pl/cassidae/kat...http://www.biol.uni.wroc.pl/cassidae/kat...More:http://www.biol.uni.wroc.pl/cassidae/kat...http://www.biol.uni.wroc.pl/cassidae/kat...
