Sympetrum corruptum
Thanks for finding that out, Liam! I don't mind at all.
She says yes, a Variegated Meadowhawk. They are vagrants, but she has seen two in South Carolina. She suggested I email this spotting to a man researching this species in the South. Do you mind if I do?
No I don't mind at all, Liam. I would love to know what the correct ID is. First one I have seen.
This could be a Variegated Meadowhawk, Sympetrum corruptum, a very rare vagrant here from the west. Do you mind if I ask a friend?
