Description:

Males have one claw much larger than the others which is used for communication.
This burrowing species is sometimes called European Fiddler Crap, though its European range is restricted to the southern Atlantic coasts of Portugal and Spain, the remainder of its range being the African Atlantic coast from Morocco to Angola.
