Cool looking toad! It might be an American Toad and not a Fowler's Toad. On the Fowler's toad, the paratoid (the large tan oval shaped bump behind each eye) touches the little horizontal ridge that stretches across the top of the paratoid. On the American toad, there is a small gap between the paratoid and the ridge. I see a small gap in this photo. Look at the American Toad on this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_To..., and reconsider the ID. Some of these toads are hard to tell apart, that's for sure!
