Tan Jumping Spider, male

Platycryptus undatus

Description:

This large jumper was found on the wall enjoying a snack of flying ants (I think). This is the largest one of this species that I have observed to date.

Habitat:

Suburban backyard on the back of a building.

Notes:

This was a great day for the jumping spiders. The flying ants had emerged and were swarming. The spiders had loads of food!
