Thekla Lark; Cogujada Montesina

Galerida theklae

Description:

This lark and the Crested Lark are very similar, but the Thekla has more defined markings on the breast. Another clue is that Theklas will often perch on top of bushes or large rocks and will frequent hillsides if they are nearby, while Cresteds are nearly always found on the ground along roadsides, in car parks or on waste ground.

Habitat:

Volcanic semi-desert
