Gum-tree Leafhopper -unidentified

Description:

This pinkish-brown leafhopper was about 7 mm long. It had white mottling on the wings and a triangular white patch at the base of each fore wing.The scutellum was plain but the pronotum appeared to have a median groove. Eyes appeared to be a pale pink. The hind legs had a series of spines along the length of it.

Habitat:

Spotted on a young eucalyptus tree in a park (Cardinia Reservoir)

Notes:

A very wary leafhopper. Never seen one with a cleft in the pronotum. Yet to look for an ID.
