White-throated sparrow

Zonotrichia albicollis

Description:

It is always so nice to see these beautiful sparrows arrive in our area with the autumn migration. This is the white-striped morph, which will likely be mating with a tan morph in the springtime.

Habitat:

Sandy Creek Park

Notes:

Its beauty is more apparent in the photos where it was sitting in the sun!
