I think this is possibly --Biston sp ,perhaps a dark morph of ----Biston suppressaria

Hi Hema and welcome to Project Noah. It sure is a moth.. looks like a nice geometridae. In the habitat field the intention is to put information about this particular specimen and where it was found eg 'On a mango tree in a small compound garden' or something similar. Being a moth the description might be useful if you say the size for example.
