That's great that you were able to get a picture of a male and a female together! They look like Nuttall's woodpeckers to me as well. :)

Agree with KarenL: Nuttall's Woodpecker. The Downy does not have this pattern on the wings and back.

The bird on the left looks like a hairy woodpecker - they have a longer bill than the downy. However, I'm not so sure now as I can't see a white back on either but that just may be the angle of the shot. I will do some more checking!

Either Hairy or Downy - Downy's beaks are shorter than the hairy but they are very close. Nice job!!
