Sand Wasp

Bembix americana comata

Description:

Near my home now have a old construction with some materials. Between them, have a lot of sand. One day I was passing around and saw a lot of Wasps (that in begin I thought that was Flys) digging. So, I photographed a little and filmed the action a lot. In the video, when the first wasp appears, you can see that it have a little another bug. I guess (I guess) that's some prey to serve like a incubator and food to new Wasps.

Habitat:

I found this specimen in my yard, on a region of transition between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.
