Bonnet mushroom

Mycena sp.

Description:

Small off white Mycena mushrooms about 1.5 cm tall. Bell-shaped, radially-grooved caps. Off white, hollow, slender stems that were brown at the base. Narrowly adnate, broad and white gills. Perhaps Mycena galopus.

Habitat:

Grew on a dead beech (Fagus sylvatica) trunk in a broadleaf forest.

Notes:

Spotted in rural area of Colmschate, Holland.
