A really interesting Katydid with a mottled leaf-litter like appearance. About 4 cm long. The head and upper prothorax is silvery. This is a female with a large black sword shaped ovipositor which is serrated on the upper side. Family Tettigoniidae.
Found on the ground in a forested, semi-rural area. San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, 2,200 meters elevation.
