Eastern tent caterpillar moth (male)

Malacosoma americanum

Description:

Fluffy, fuzzy with big eyes & even bigger antennae that look just like bunny ears! What's not to love about this extremely cute little moth - oh yes, I forgot to mention its caterpillars have been killing the trees in our yard!

Habitat:

Semi rural

Notes:

I spotted this guy on the screen to my office window & he was considerate enough to hang around while I got my camera & then to strike a few poses for me!
