Common European Frog

Description:

Rotund. Greenish brown body. dark patch under eye. Uneven, rather splotchy stripes on legs. Two dark bands on the back running the length of the body.

Habitat:

I had just trimmed the bushes and was clearing the fallen leaves and cut branches when this one surprised me. It remained in position for me to run in and get the camera and take a few quick shots. This was seen in a garden of a home in a quiet residential area.

Notes:

Apparently this garden regular had been missing for the last two years...or had hidden away too well. Anyway, everyone is glad it (or one of its kids) is back.
