Unknown Invertebrate

Description:

Worm-like invertebrate found (by accident) under a highly rotted log on a resupinate polypore. It measured around 8-12 mm and was slimy in appearance. It had a rounded, wider anterior end and a thin, tapered posterior end. No appendages were present, and its body was mostly transparent. Thread-like structures were visible near the posterior end, from which the creature continually squirted clear liquid. Any help with an ID is much appreciated!

Habitat:

Under a highly rotted (moist) log on a resupinate polypore in a dense mixed hardwood/coniferous forest in Northwest Georgia (Gordon County), US.

It is looking more and more like a free-living nematode, but I think it is doubtful that I can get an exact ID!
