Lantana horrida

Description:

Lantana fruit is a tight cluster of small fleshy drupes that are blue-black when mature.

Habitat:

Full sun to part shade. Sand, loam, clay, caliche; well drained. Loves heat and sun.

Notes:

Drought tolerant shrub or perennial that butterflies love. Fruit is poisonous.

I learned when my daughter was three years old that the green fruit are definately toxic, but the blue-black ripe fruit are not usually. If you have adventurous little ones around be sure to have syrup of ipecac in the first aid kit.
