Brown Pelican

Description:

Large, dark waterbird with long bill with extensible pouch and short legs Large, heavy body with webbed feet.

Habitat:

Found in warm coastal marine and estuarine environments. Rare inland. Breeds primarily on islands.

Notes:

I'm not sure what type of gulls they are (juvenile herring gulls, perhaps?) but they were harassing the pelicans after they caught fish.

Thank you James! Yes, the gull was mad - kept trying to get some of the Pelican's fish!
