Microchrysa flaviventris
Very small fly with "mask" on metallic thorax..
Spotted on Sauropus androgynus in large semi-urban yard & garden adjacent to a disturbed patch of remnant forest.
Quite a unique trait that mask!

Thanks Jolly!
Wow! that's cool.
Here's one posted today that allowed me to ID this spotting http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/168...
A big-head(surprise) fly perhaps? From waht I'm reading it's a type of hover fly, but I can't narrow it down.
Amazing.
Thanks Carol!
