This small butterfly can be distinguished from its relative the Pearl Crescent by the light yellow bar of cells on the forewings.

Habitat:

This one was on Zexmenia, member of the sunflower family.

Notes:

The two photos were taken about one hour apart. The Zexmenia is a favorite of these small butterflies.
