Description:

One morning I found this tiny snail climbing up one of my kitche windows. it felt almost painful to see such a small thing carrying such a big long house! ........................ Two lipped door snail, is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Clausiliidae. this snail has a clausilium. This spoon-shaped "door" is supported by, and slides in, a series of internal shell folds.

Habitat:

This species is known to occur in a number of European countries.

Yes PattyC, I am still shocked trying to imagine whether I could do the same as this snail. I did not set it on the floor, I should have, to see how it did in an horizontal plane. Impressive!

I love the perspective! That must be a heavy shell to carry around, wonder how much weight does little fellows can carry, both while upside down and while sliding properly....
