Little Blue Dragonlet

Erythrodiplax miniscula

Description:

Both the common name and the Latin name refer to the small size of this dragonfly, for good reason. At first I mistook this little dragonfly for a damselfly because of its size, just about an inch long.

Habitat:

Around a sphagnum moss bog in the piedmont region of South Carolina.
