Description:

Caps, ca. 2.5 – 3 cm (1-1.5 inches) diameter; smooth surface with a sheen; appears transparent near margin; ribbed at margin. Gills not attached. Dry very quickly. Obtained spore print by using a mushroom that was just opening. Stipe, ca 5-6 mm diameter; hollow, covered with small scales; scales more prominent near base. Spore print: Chocolate brown.

Habitat:

Growing in soil in open area on north (shaded) side of house; near woods.
