Ruby-throated Hummingbird (female)

Archilochus colubris

Habitat:

open woodlands, forest edges, meadows, grasslands, and in parks, gardens, and backyards

Notes:

There is a very large number of these in this particular bush and surrounding trees at this botanical park. Though hard to photograph due to almost constant and very fast movement, with patience you can get enough shots to pick out a few good ones. Besides is just fun to sit there and watch their antics. (here is a male spotting from the same day: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/170... )
