Calymmaria sp.
Small house spider with a hammock-like web and lots of other invisible webbing. Legs are striped.
Inside a cabin in the woods, low temp and high humidity.
I'm thinking this might be Amaurobius similis, but am not good at identifying spiders. To confirm the funnel weaver identification, I apparently would need a full-on face shot, and due to the darkness and closeness of the corner, I couldn't manage that. Not surprisingly, spiders do not face the camera and say "cheese"!
Thanks for the help. I get to see "her" a lot--her web is in the bathroom next to the sink, and I allow her to stay in that way-too-viewed place because the wood she's webbed on is infested with powder post beetles which I want controlled. Maybe she'll pose for a full-face portrait one of these days. I'm working on my arachnophobia.
The first one of these I found fooled me, too. Resembles Coras, but is actually a member of the family Hahniidae. Great shot, nice find.
By george, I think you've got it! It's a rare spider that gets identified, but that looks like a match. Thanks!
