Wrap-around Spider

Dolophones sp.

Habitat:

Found in the center of an orb web at night

Notes:

#striped Dolophones. This genus of spiders has only had a few of the species recognize. Recently the number of possible species has more than doubled. This example is the largest I have seen with an abdomen of 1cm wide. It also has striped legs and a reddish head. May be D. conifera

Ahhh, so much easier to make out the shape of the spider. So difficult to get my head around the other image. Great spotting.
