Northern Flicker (Yellow-shafted female)

Colaptes auratus

Habitat:

Open habitats near trees, including woodland and hammock edges, yards, and parks.

Notes:

I saw many of them when I was living in the suburbs of Wilmington, Delaware years ago. This is the first I see in Florida. They are one of the most beautiful woodpeckers, in my opinion.
