Tritocosmia paradoxa
A small longicorn (longhorn) beetle looking very similar to lycid beetles except for elaborate antennae with very long scapes and black furry tufts half way. This one was about 15mm long body.
Resting on a bird-scarer (CD) in an outer urban back yard.
Should have known species might be 'paradoxa'
family: CERAMBYCIDAE
subfamily: CERAMBYCINAE
tribe: Rhagiomorphini

You're welcome Mark!
Regards
That's quite a common name but works from such a fancy beetle. Great find, Mark!
Brilliant. The Man is a Maniac. :)
Thanks Maniacval. I'll research it later today.
Hi Mark
Genus Tritocosmia ;)
Greets
Yes I noticed that in a quick search... on holidays maybe. Pity about the poor photos.
There are several tufted longicorns in Asia.
I've not seen one here.
Nice Find, Mark.
