Lycid mimic tufted longicorn beetle

Tritocosmia paradoxa

Description:

A small longicorn (longhorn) beetle looking very similar to lycid beetles except for elaborate antennae with very long scapes and black furry tufts half way. This one was about 15mm long body.

Habitat:

Resting on a bird-scarer (CD) in an outer urban back yard.

Notes:

Should have known species might be 'paradoxa'

There are several tufted longicorns in Asia.
I've not seen one here.
