Microsorum Fern

Microsorum grossum

Description:

A sorus (pl. sori) is a cluster of sporangia (structures producing and containing spores) in ferns. This is shown here with the clusters stuck to an indusium which is a thin membrane covering the sorus of a fern. The indusium often shrivels away when spores are ready to be dispersed.
