Yellow Assassin Bug

Description:

Easily mistaken as the smaller and less common Cosmolestes picticeps. A yellow assassin bug with black stripe, about 15mm in length. Red and yellow stands for danger in the insect world and yet unwary preys still got caught by it. This species are equipped with wings to fly so they can escape or travel more efficiently. They are the most common assassin bugs here in Sabah because they thrive in oil plantation area which is widespread in this state.

Habitat:

Bushes in Uncle Tan Bed&Breakfast, Sepilok road, Sandakan, Sabah.

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy : 50m diameter. This species can be found here in Uncle Tan Bed & Breakfast because there are oil palm plantation around this area.
