Western tussock moth, larvae

Orgyia vetusta

Description:

I found this caterpillar trying to make it's way across a sandy beach cliff trail. The coastal wind was blowing this little guy off course, but he up-righted himself and kept going. Thanks in advance for the ID. Carlsbad, CA.

Thanks for the ID. I updated this spotting. No worries, I watched this caterpillar safely cross the trail.

Please place them on green herb plant before they crushed under anybody's steps if they locate on ground.
