Ixora coccinea
The plants possess leathery leaves, ranging from 3 to 6 inches in length, and produce large clusters of tiny flowers in the summer. Also known as rangan, kheme, ponna, chann tanea, techi, pan, santan, jarum-jarum, Jungle flame, Jungle geranium, west indian jasmine and many more.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. I found the bush on Kalani high school campus, it was next to room J-2.
