Sphecid wasp

Description:

This wasp was very busy getting in and out of a hole in the ground, Its wings are metalic black and it shinned bright blue dots with different angles of the light. It moves very quick and opening and closing the wings like a reflex. I took video in slow motion but it seems it is in normal speed because the wasp is very fast. Video included.

Habitat:

Close to a mountain stream in King's Canyon National Park

Notes:

Remember the video is in High Speed (Slow Motion), but the wasp is so fast that it appears to be a normal speed.
