Zygiella x-notata

Description:

About 7-8 millimeters in body length, colored as shown.

Habitat:

Inside a downtown parking garage, near a row of lights.

Notes:

The orb web has a triangular, open sector which gives this spider its common name. The species is native to Europe, introduced to North America.
