Basiliscus vittatus
Photo take at my backyard small basilisk (juvenile) moves on top of the leafs looking for sunlight , this one will grow up to 1 mt long some day. Smaller basilisks can run about 10-20 metres on the water without sinking. Young basilisks can usually run farther than older ones.
They are native of México, Panama, Belize, northwestern Colombia and Costa Rica, but have been introduced in U.S.
