Stripped Basilisk

Basiliscus vittatus

Description:

Photo take at my backyard small basilisk (juvenile) moves on top of the leafs looking for sunlight , this one will grow up to 1 mt long some day. Smaller basilisks can run about 10-20 metres on the water without sinking. Young basilisks can usually run farther than older ones.

Habitat:

They are native of México, Panama, Belize, northwestern Colombia and Costa Rica, but have been introduced in U.S.
