Spotting

Description:

Mushroom with broadly concave caps about 80mm wide. Caps were waxy, cream coloured with a cracking grey outer layer.The centre of the cap had clusters of crusty granulose skin. Some yellow staining seen along the underside of the cap and on the stipe above the ring. Stipe was creamy white, long and mostly smooth except for a clear ring about a third of the way down from the cap. Gills were crowded and a creamy white.

Habitat:

growing in leaf litter under eucalyptus trees.
