Diminutive rainforest frog... 3/4" - 1" ... in the Dendrobatidae family (poison frogs). Browns with black stripes, blending perfectly with brown leaf litter. This one was spotted in Allpahuayo-Mishana National Reserve about 23 miles southwest of Iquitos.
Damp leaf litter in Peruvian rainforest and terra firme.
Although common, difficult to spot in the leaf litter and when threatened quickly dart under loose leaf litter and seemingly disappearing.
