Branta Canadensis
This is an eight week old gosling growing into adult plumage. As you can see the chin strap is developing, i noticed that this gosling was banded and is being observed.
I am following these goslings right from birth. These are 7th generation goslings and of historical significance, here. I have left a video in the other spottings ,narrated by our local conservationist " Gary Bogue"
These were born on the roof of our news paper ," The Contra Costa Times"
