Description:

This family of geese was living in a retaining pond filled with dirty water beneath an underpass in downtown Boston. The adults had a protected patch of grass surrounded by high concrete walls where they cared for their brood. A great example of wildlife making the most of their environment.

Habitat:

Retaining pond, urban highway underpass.
