Golden Poison Frog

Phyllobates terribilis

Description:

The golden poison dart frog (mint green morph coloration pictured) is the largest of the poison dart frogs. Zoo information indicates that this frog (in its native habitat) has enough toxin in its skin to kill 2 African bull elephants.

Habitat:

Captive. Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo.

I love the dart frogs. I just had the pleasure of seeing my first two here where I live. I also didn't know this one existed.
