Paropssiterna sp.
This shiny black beetle has well defined puncturation striae. There is a hint of red on the margin of the pronotum.
Found on stringybark foliage.
This is likely to be a nocturnal Paropsisterna. It was found early in the morning, before 9 AM and is probably consistent with nocturnal species . Similar species as is commonly found in My Lofty (Wonga Park) but only under bark. I must check this habitat in the early morning to check if they have consistent waking hours.
