Ganoderma sp. (lucidum or tsugae)
Found in Hocking Hills, Ohio near Old Man's Cave.
Ganoderma is certain from my view. It's somehow juvenile though - so both are possible: G. tsugae and G. lucidum. I'll tend to Reishi (G. lucidum) like Ashish and Ernesto. It's definetely no Cinnabar Polypore, like suggested.
Its Reishi Mushroom. I feel its Ganoderma lucidum.

Hi Dora !!!.If you want you could add to the mission Fungus in America

I should've taken a pic of the canopy of the tree, but I looked for some photos of Eastern hemlock bark and it does look like it could be a hemlock after all.
Is that Hemlock it's growing on? If it is, it's a Hemlock Varnish Shelf; if it's a deciduous tree, than it is a Ling Chih.
