Description:

spotted in my backyard,never se this one,very alien :) the last photo show's a parasite in the rigth side a red dot,is a tiny organism like a flee.

@Tanhks Leuba,it was a great find for us,i saw another in Porto, so i'll load it brefely,it's not so spectacular,these was the first,at nigth and with the flash the detail is another thing,thanks for you kind words

@Livan thanks ,i talk with my wife that saw it glowing before we began the photo session,so i think that gave us the prove we needed :) i change the id

@Emma from what i read it was a firefly femmale,that put eggs,so it's dead :(
i hope she make the posture before.it's good to know that i have firefly's arround,i never se them near by,i have to go in the nigth to the weet meadow to se some :)

I am with Ignacio, I really think this is a Firefly larva. The head is all wrong for the ground beetle larva. I don't know what species of Fireflies (Family Lampyridae) there are in your area, but look into their larva.

@Thanks S.Frazier for the id,i follow your link and i think is a carubus rugosus common arround here,i have a spotting of the final adult stage and i would'nt imagine that was the same animal,amazing,thanks again

@thanks Emma i knowed that you would like that detail :),the larvae "died" after a day of the spotting and we keeped it in a box hooping ths she transform her self in pupa like the link photos show.I have to se if there are any knowened parasite in this species larvae
