Description:

The species is distinguished in that the female is bright green and the adult male has a blue abdomen with a green face and green and blue thorax. This male was on this same log yesterday. He is chasing any dragonfly who dares to enter this strip of the culvert leading to the pond.

Habitat:

Culvert that leads to a city maintained retention pond.
