I think Malcolm is right. It doesn't look like S. fonscolombii...

I don't think this is Red-veined Darter the abdomen is too broad and the thorax is too red. It looks to me like the Broad Scarlet, Crocothemis erythraea.

Should be Sympetrum fonscolombii, male. Please, verify!
