Mycena kuurkacea (poss.)
Numerous small delicate mushrooms with ribbed pileus rich brown and fading toward the rim. The gills are light and free of the stipe. The stipe is long and brittle, purple to brown along its length. No skirt.
Very common in wood chips.

Hi martin. I can't find nomenclature 'Pross.' What is it?
Martin, I hope you don't mind but I am going to get technical on you again -only because this feature makes this photo/mushroom all the more special. You would have observed that the free edges of the gills are a different colour to the faces of the gills; I learnt a few months ago that when this occurs the gills are said to be "marginate" - a lovely feature which makes the underside of the mushroom more interesting. I have only one such example in my collection of spottings. I am not sure what the significance is -may be a distinguishing feature between species ?. Please disregard this comment if you already know this.
